The adventure lasted four years! The hotel Mandarin Oriental Geneva has decided not to renew the Yakumanka restaurant concession granted to Peruvian gastronomic star Gastón Acurio. While new openings in Geneva are going well, the Japanese restaurant Sachi is a hit under the leadership of chef Mitsuru Tsukada and his room manager Bastien Zimmermann, and the MO Bar has just undergone a facelift necessary for its survival, it seems that the Peruvian-inspired restaurant is no longer topical. For the time being, the hotel is discreetly telling us that a “pop-up” will soon see the light of day before it too undergoes a major renovation. With this culinary awakening, the Mandarin Oriental enters the gastronomic dance of Geneva’s hotels on the shores of Lake Geneva… We’re looking forward to the changes ahead.
