In June 2023, Michael Baum and Andrea Rota founded True Foods Foods & Ancient Seeds Sàrl. Supported by the EMBA program at IMD Business School the company provides a critical response to the consequences of of intensive agriculture on consumer health and the environment, and offers sustainable durum wheat products. Old-growth wheat, characterized by a gluten index up to 6 times lower and a protein structure from modern varieties, are at the heart of True Foods & Ancient Seeds’ commitment. The company aims to raise awareness among farmers and consumers of the benefits of ancient varieties, thus promoting a healthier diet and a sustainable agroecosystem.
