Thierry Stern, CEO of the famous Patek Philippe watch brand, has taken over the Lion d'Or in Cologny.

Handover at the summit of Cologny. It’s official: Patek Philippe CEO Thierry Stern has taken over the culinary temple of the Lion d’Or previously in the hands of Abdallah Chatila, according to official information from Bilan magazine. This long-standing Michelin-starred institution has always appealed to Genevans in search of top-flight cuisine. After F.P. Journe Le Restaurant on Rue du Rhône, the Breitling Kitchen on Quai des Bergues and Audemars Piguet’s Hôtel des Horlogers, it’s now Patek Philippe’s turn to succumb to culinary temptation. Chef Leo Besnard has been at the helm of the Lion d’Or for the past three years, and is already rolling up his sleeves for what’s to come. We can’t wait to see what the Patek Philippe era has in store for this fine establishment, whose lake views are as breathtaking as ever. The watchmaking company is banking on the restaurant sector, which continues to be on a roll.
