The keys to Michelin
There will always be something to say or comment on following news about the Michelin Guide. Recently, the Red Bible announced its intention to start classifying hotels on the same principle as restaurant stars. These addresses were visited and evaluated according to five criteria of excellence: architecture and interior design, quality of service, personality and character, value for money and contribution to the local experience. Thus were born the Clefs Michelin: the culmination of countless hours of evaluation by the discreet, masked selection team. There are 189 hotels on this first list, the first selection of the Michelin Guide France 2024: 24 3-Clef hotels, 38 2-Clef hotels and 127 1-Clef hotels. Just as a restaurant can be awarded one, two or three stars, a hotel rated by the Michelin Guide can be awarded one, two or three Clefs. One Key: a unique stay – Two Keys: an exceptional stay – Three Keys: an extraordinary stay.
