Before the renovations begin, it’s time for some get-togethers. In Cologny, the Lion d’Or brings together local producers and the people who have kept the Auberge going over the years.

Before closing its doors for a major renovation, theAuberge du Lion d’Or wishes to bring together those who have been part of its history. On Saturday, October 10, all day long, the establishment in Cologny will host the Artisans and Producers Market, open to everyone.

Let’s Give the Spotlight to the Artisans

Among the announced participants: Fromagerie Bruand, Brasier Primeur, fisherman Michel Perissol, Les Miels de Stéphanie, Suter Viande, Coffola, Fondant Genevois, Sarah Meylan of La Vigne Blanche, and Brasserie des Murailles. Cheeses, fruits and vegetables, fish, meats, sweets, and wines will be on display at the various booths, offering visitors the chance to speak directly with the producers.

You can also linger over a meal: a rotisserie, a fire pit, appetizer platters, and a refreshment stand will let you enjoy lunch on site or share a drink overlooking Lake Geneva. Live music will provide entertainment throughout the day, while games will be available for children in the garden.

The market will be held primarily outdoors, under tents and canopies, with indoor spaces available as a backup in case of bad weather. It’s a chance to revisit the Auberge as it was before the renovations, say hello to its producers, and leave with a few items in your basket.
