The Brent Bridge is for sale

Gérard Rabaey had to be at the end of his rope to take the tough decision to sell Le Pont de Brent, a gastronomic institution that had reached the upper echelons of gastronomy by earning three Michelin stars under its owner. At the age of 76, the chef decided – surely reluctantly – to sell the establishment that had made him a household name throughout Switzerland. But against all odds, Amandine Pivault and Antoine Gonnet (the previous tenants) declared bankruptcy after eighteen months of operation. “The price is confidential and remains to be discussed with potential buyers. But I don’t want to have to manage another lease after what happened last time,” he told 24 heures newspaper earlier this month.
