At the helm of Café de la Paix since 2017, chef Philippe Durandeau needed a change. What better way to give his restaurant a facelift than to redecorate it and once again set out to conquer Geneva’s gastronomic scene. The former head chef at La Réserve in Bellevue made the changes in stages. He began with the walls, replacing the wooden banquettes with more comfortable armchairs. “I wanted to retain the bistro feel of Café de la Paix, while adding a more intimate, chic touch. The open kitchen, which brings together the stoves and the dining room, also adds a touch of novelty. From September 1, Philippe Durandeau will be at work offering a completely new menu. We look forward to rediscovering the cuisine of a highly talented chef.
