LVMH takes over Ami Louis
It’s a new chapter in the history of the restaurant, and one that reinforces the idea that times are changing. Announced last week on the web, the famous (and inimitable) Chez l’Ami Louis has just been acquired by the LVMH GROUP. The news has not gone unnoticed. Indeed, this traditional establishment did not seem to fit in with the group’s image of acquisitions. Chez L’Ami Louis celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and joins the LVMH Hospitaliy Excellence division. Let’s hope that this emblematic Parisian venue representing a certain form of gastronomic opulence will be able to retain its soul and authenticity.
