Let’s eat—but completely naked
In Hollywood, Florida, the dress code has just taken an unexpected turn, to say the least. Once a month, the C.L.A.S.S. Soiree Steakhouse invites its guests to leave their clothes in the coat check… and sit down to dinner completely naked. The idea came about after the restaurant hosted a private party organized by a group of naturists. Given the success of the event, the chef-owner, Maurad Ali, decided to make it a regular occurrence, held on the first Monday of every month. It’s a rather radical way to stand out, especially since, by his own admission, the economic climate is tough for restaurant owners.
The program features a five-course meal in a restaurant reserved exclusively for the occasion. The windows are blacked out, while the chefs and servers remain fully dressed. As for pricing, gender parity will have to wait a little longer: $150 for a single woman, $250 for a man, and $300 for a couple. The organizers emphasize, above all, a unique fine-dining experience in a respectful atmosphere. C.L.A.S.S. Soiree Steakhouse: proof that class really doesn’t depend on much. And certainly not on what you’re wearing.
