To coincide with the Cannes Film Festival, chef Jean Imbert opens his restaurant La Palme d'Or in the heart of the Hôtel Martinez.

Even though Jean Imbert is everywhere, we still manage to keep up with him. One day in Polynesia, concocting a new menu for The Brando hotel; the next in Paris at the Plaza-Athenée, fine-tuning his gourmet restaurant. A year after taking over the stoves at the Plage du Martinez and all the kitchens at the Cannes palace, he has just opened his own gourmet restaurant, La Palme d’Or. On the menu, the emphasis is on fish and seafood, all carefully selected by local fishermen. “I want to offer a cuisine that is gastronomic, but above all simple and uncomplicated, based around fish and the sea, with the idea of paying tribute to the jewels of the Mediterranean, to products that would never be found in Paris, and to the know-how of the region’s fishermen”.
