The “Faites Genève” association has won the City of Geneva’s call for tenders to organize the major summer event to be held from August 14 to 18, 2024, all around the harbor. Spearheaded by Aymon Choisy of the Plage des Eaux-Vives restaurant, the collective’s ambition is to concoct a major neighborhood celebration on the scale of a city: making the grandiose out of the local and orchestrating a declaration of love from a population to its city! In addition to concerts, shows, performances and a wide range of inclusive and intergenerational activities, Aymon Choisy and LVX Spirits founder Quentin Verne will be showcasing the canton’s restaurant chains and giving the public a chance to (re)discover Geneva’s culinary diversity. The figures speak for themselves: 380 artists are scheduled to perform at six different venues (the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, the Pont de la Machine, the Quai Général-Guisan, the Jardin Anglais, the Quai Gustave-Adore and the Plage des Eaux-Vives) over 5 days, with an approach that is 99% local and 100% free of charge.
