We loved everything about this restaurant, which opened in Chêne-Bourg in 2018. A sober, intimate dining room. A confidential, authentic terrace. The story of a couple: Emmanuelle in the dining room and Paul-Etienne Cousin behind the stove. A menu that juggled tradition and innovation, with combinations and seasonings based on the chef’s travels. Attentive, affable service that was both relaxed and friendly. However, the chef announced on his Instagram account that the Mapo adventure would be coming to an end on Friday June 28 for one last service. But rest assured! Emmanuelle and Paul-Etienne Cousin are already looking for a new establishment to continue their gastronomic adventure in Geneva. They have been replaced by a new couple, who will take over the helm at Mapo at the beginning of September. Let’s welcome Max Colette, former chef of La Huchette in Carouge, and his wife Anh. We wish them all the best for the future, and hope they continue to make history in Geneva’s gastronomic world.
