Rasmus Munk, Michelin-starred chef and co-owner of Copenhagen’s famous Alchemist restaurant, will prepare meals served in Space Perspective luxury balloon capsules at the edge of space, thanks to a partnership with SpaceVIP (an expedition company based on space missions and space-related experiences). The extraordinary culinary experience will take place aboard Space Perspective’s Neptune spacecraft, the world’s first carbon-neutral spacecraft, where six passengers will make history by enjoying the meal of a lifetime above 99% of the Earth’s atmosphere. Each Explorer will be dressed by French fashion house Ogier, who will make bespoke outfits designed using cutting-edge fabric technology developed specifically for this mission. The six-hour voyage is scheduled to start in 2025 from Florida’s Space Coast and will cost $495,000 per ticket. All profits from the expedition will be donated to the Space Prize Foundation, dedicated to promoting gender equality in science and technology.
