Every story has an end, and Jacopo Romagnoli’s at Place de Neuve came to an end last week. After four years at the helm of Café de la Plage in the heart of the Grand Théâtrethe talented chef decided to turn the page and concentrate on a more intimate project. Good news for all gourmets. Jacopo Romagnoli assures us that he will be offering local, seasonal cuisine influenced by more personal flavors. Starting this summer, with the support of his future team and two new associates, he will be undertaking a major renovation project, which has proved necessary, but which he hopes will preserve the soul and identity of the place, while adding his own personal touch. Surprise, surprise… As for the Café de la Plage, Tom Hutrel has taken over the reins. Well done, gentlemen! We wish you all the best for the future.
