This is the story of a trio of entrepreneurs with a dream of sausages. A regular at the Sternen Grill during his studies in Zurich, Henri Barbier-Muller, one of the founders, was thinking of importing the concept to his city at the end of the lake. A few years later, with his two partners, Nicolas Rey and Rhéa Zimmermann, he finally opened a bar at Place de l’Oranger in Rues-Basses. But let’s get back to our sausages: from Schüblig to Currywurst and Bratwurst, everything is cooked on a grill before our very eyes. The trio relies on local products, sourcing exclusively from a small butcher’s shop in the village of Lucens. The potatoes come from the village of Jussy and are served as fries, rösti and salad. With a pop decor and affordable prices (CHF 9 for a sausage accompanied by delicious Bürli bread), Brad seduces with its no-holds-barred approach and friendly spirit.
