Gourmet stopover at the Eaux-Vives beach restaurant, where chef Jean-Briac Monboussin officiates with brio.

The restaurant on the Eaux-Vives beach is a timeless interlude, a place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Chef Jean-Briac Monboussin has acclimatized perfectly to the location and its surrounding terroir. Originally from Brittany, the chef passed through the Michelin-starred skies of Paris before joining our beautiful city of Calvin in 2016. So it’s in front of the lake and its mountains that we sit down to dinner. After a fine start with the crunchy pistachio tartlet, we continue with the dish of the day, followed by a creamy chocolate dessert featuring a soft caramel sauce with subtle notes of aniseed and cloves, a spiced cocoa shortbread, a dark chocolate ganache from Orfève and, on top, cocoa-flavored popcorns. The chef then adds his finishing touch with a delicate sprinkling of toasted vanilla powder. For your next lunch, head to Restaurant de la Plage, a unique Geneva address where life is good.
