The Saar vineyards are undoubtedly one of the greatest terroirs (if not THE greatest) for white wines in Europe… With slopes of up to 94% and a microclimate regulated by the river of the same name, we find here wines whose length, depth and brilliance will dazzle all connoisseurs!
It is said of Volz that if Premiers Crus existed in Moselle, this would be one of the very best, like Les Suchots or Les Malconsorts de Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy. Volz Riesling is a dry, dynamic, invigorating white wine of crystalline purity, with a fresh acidic structure and aromas of honeysuckle, Menton lemon and a hint of fresh blackcurrant. And if you serve it with a blanquette of monkfish cheek with olives and preserved lemons, you’re in for an absolute treat!
