After gaining experience in Hawaii and Sardinia, Andrea Scherz joined the hotel in 1996 as a receptionist, and took over the management in 2001. He set about modernizing the establishment while respecting its identity: spa extension in 2007, centenary celebration in 2013, new catering concepts and constant investment in staff. The changes are gradual and consistent. The warm atmosphere of the Palace fosters remarkable loyalty, with some guests returning for over forty years. Winter 2025\/26 saw a record 6,530 overnight stays and an occupancy rate of 84.37%, underpinned by good snow conditions and high visitor numbers. This positive momentum is set to continue over the summer.
