The Tin Building, designed by Michelin-starred chef <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jean-georges.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>Jean-Georges Vongerichten<\/strong><\/a>officially closed its doors in New York at the end of February. Located in the historic South Street Seaport, this vast <em>food hall<\/em> brought together restaurants, counters and delicatessens in a spectacular setting. Inaugurated in 2022 after an investment of nearly $200 million, the venue was to embody a new culinary destination in New York. Despite the scale of the project, attendance failed to break even. Accumulated losses led to the site&#8217;s closure. Only The Fulton, the adjoining seafood restaurant, continues to operate.
