The duo propose a C\u00f4te-r\u00f4tie &#8220;La Vialli\u00e8re&#8221; Jean Michel Gerin 2020. The estate is fortunate to have acquired some of the most renowned vineyards in C\u00f4te-r\u00f4tie, including the emblematic La Landonne, Les Grandes Places and La Vialli\u00e8re. It is the latter cuv\u00e9e that is presented to us.     <br\/>Planting of this parcel began in 2003 and represents a titanic task on slopes ranging from 40% to 60%. This superb, south-southeast-facing Syrah is 100% destemmed, then macerated for 25 days before being aged in demi muids for 18 months. C\u00f4te-R\u00f4tie La Vialli\u00e8re is a powerful yet extremely elegant wine, with beautiful spicy notes and tannins that develop a patina over time, giving the wine fabulous complexity.
